​Understanding Our Services

We offer a holistic approach to brain health, starting with a comprehensive evaluation of your mood, lifestyle, history, and Central Nervous System (CNS) symptoms.

Diagnostic tools include:
  • Psychophysiological Stress Tests
  • Cognitive Evaluations
  • EEG Evaluations (to identify areas of injury/activity)
  • Referrals for underlying medical conditions if needed.
Our treatment aligns brain and heart through techniques like:
  • Education on mental wellness and brain health
  • Paced Breathing & Mindfulness
  • Audio-Visual Entrainment 
  • Brain Stimulation or Training
  • Near infrared photo biomodulation
  • Muscle Biofeedback (when appropriate)
  • Breath Training via Capnography to establish better end tidal CO2
  • Hypnosis, Relaxation Techniques, Individualized Tools for Stress Reduction 

Billing & Insurance

Superbills can be provided to your insurance for reimbursement. Insurances reimburse for CPT or diagnostic codes, and billing service codes. Every insurance company is different. 

Packaged Rates are available upon request:
  • Packages are designed to lower your session cost for multiple sessions per week or month to maximize your outcomes and help you save money when insurance doesn't cover, or you can pay in advance to insure savings.
  • Either way we can help you establish packages to fit your goals and needs. Some packages allow family usage. Packages and Rates are provided separately upon request during free consultation so their usage and intention can be explained and understood.
  • Dr. Cardell is contracted Kaiser, Medi-Cal, and Medicare for psychotherapy services (this includes hypnosis, and ketamine-assisted therapy services), some combined services are covered by your PPO.
  • The best tactic is to start with a free consultation, learn what is advised, determine your budget,  insurance coverage, and frequency of visits - Then plan to feel better!
Psychotherapy & Hourly Sessions:
  • A sliding scale is available for psychotherapy and Neurofeedback sessions charged at the hourly rate.
  • ​We provide receipts for out-of-network/PPO insurance reimbursement for Psychotherapy and combined Psychotherapy + Biofeedback services. Reimbursement rates depend on your individual insurance plan.
Brain Health Packages
Significant cost savings, as Neurofeedback services are rarely covered by insurance.
  • They include personalized attention, multiple interventions per session, and tools for sustained relief outside the office.
  • Package fees are fixed.
  • Packages must be paid in full prior to your first session.
Additional Offerings:
  • Brain Health Education Presentations are available for your organization.​
  • Mindfulness Groups are offered intermittently and upon request.

​Cash, Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and HSA cards. Superbills for Insurance Provided. Some Insurance Accepted - based on service.
