She/Her/Hers AMFT 156891 Supervised by Bonnie Cardell, Ph.D., LMFT (LMFT 102066) A San Francisco Bay Area native, who has brought over 18 years of experience providing compassionate care to a diverse range of individuals and families as a dental hygienist. This background in healthcare has deeply shaped my relational and client-centered approach to therapy. I earned a Master of Science in Counseling from the Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences, where I received training in several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Method for couples. While on the Child and Family track at Kaiser Permanente Counseling Center, I also gained experience with Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and the Modular Approach to Children (MATCH) with anxiety, depression, trauma, or conduct problems. As an AMFT, I consider myself a relational generalist with a growing interest in psychodynamic theory and integrative mind-body approaches. I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and identity exploration. I look forward to expanding my clinical skill set while working under supervision with Dr. Cardell at Sound Mind Neurofeedback, where I will gain insight into a psychophysiological approach, and learn how interventions such as neurofeedback and biofeedback can be integrated into the therapeutic process. |

These early experiences inform her creative and holistic approaches to healing. Bonnie later completed her Ph.D. dissertation on breathing restriction and anxiety in the Department of Applied Psychophysiology at Saybrook University. Her continued extensive training and services include:
- Advanced LENS Neurofeedback Provider: Specializing in helping clients with central nervous system challenges.
- Certification in Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback: Utilizing this technique to promote emotional regulation.
- Provider of Neurofield Neurofeedback Services: Expanding the range of neurofeedback interventions offered to include Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) mapping, traditional EEG training, and stimulation technologies such as transcranial direct current (tDCS), transcranial alternating current (tACS), pulsed electromagnetic frequency (pEMF), and photo biomodulation with near infrared LED.
- Audio-visual entrainment (AVE): a technique that uses pulses of light and sound at specific frequencies to gently and safely guide the brain into various brainwave patterns.
- Hypnotherapy and Guided Imagery: allows access to the unconscious mind, which is more open to experience and supports removing emotional blocks, generates relaxation, and has a natural anti-inflammation effect on the body.
- Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques: Drawing from years of yoga and meditation practice to soothe the nervous system and provide awareness and control over distracting thought loops.
- Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): a specialized approach that integrates the use of orally administered ketamine with psychotherapy sessions to treat various mental health conditions. Ketamine is a medication initially used as an anesthetic that has been found to have rapid antidepressant and anxiolytic effects at lower doses. Dr. Cardell works in conjunction with Journey Clinical who provide the medical services including prescriptions and dosage for use remotely or in my psychotherapy office for a supported experience. KAP can greatly enhance the therapeutic work, focusing on intentions, and is complimentary to other modalities offered such a hypnosis, biofeedback, neurofeedback, and mindfulness techniques.
- Expressive Arts Therapy: Incorporates writing, journaling, drawing/painting, and dream analysis for self-expression and healing. Expressive arts integration after KAP sessions for example can deepen the work, and provides access to symbolic meaning when linear language is not sufficient. This modality integrates well with any other interventions offered and can be a profound practice for self reflection and self-care outside of session. Clients are welcome to bring their art, poems, and expressive work to session and incorporate this into a deeper analyzation of self experience.
